Meal Terms of Sale and Subscription

Effective 12 August 2026

This is an archived copy. It shows the Meal Terms of Sale and Subscription exactly as published on 12 August 2026. It is not the current version. View the current Meal Terms.

Please read these Terms before you order meals from us. By ordering, you agree to them. They apply to meal purchases in Kuwait.

Your app membership and blood test are covered by separate Terms of Service. We explain how we use your personal information in our Privacy Policy. You can manage everything in your Joud Health account.

Buying a meal plan

A meal plan is a one-off payment for the term you buy. Nothing renews automatically, and we will never charge you again without you choosing to buy another plan.

When you buy a plan you choose its length, how many meals a day you want, and which days you eat. You pay once, up front, for that term. The price is the one shown when you buy.

We may reject any order. A contract exists between us only when we send you a confirmation email. If we cannot accept your order, we will refund any payment you have made.

When your deliveries start

Your first delivery is at least four days after your payment is confirmed, moved forward to your next eating day if needed. You will see your exact schedule in the app before you pay.

Changing your meals

You can change the meals for any delivery while it is more than two days away. Deliveries lock two days before they arrive, because by then the kitchen has already begun preparing them.

When your term ends

Your plan simply ends when the days you paid for run out. There is no automatic charge and no automatic renewal. When you are ready for more, you can order your next plan in the app — either the same plan again or a different one. Your dashboard, results, and history stay available whether or not you have an active plan.

Prices

Each plan is priced when you buy it. Because nothing renews, a price change can never affect a plan you have already paid for — it only applies to plans you buy in future.

Pausing your plan

If you need a break, you can pause your plan and keep the days you have paid for.

When you pause:

You can set a restart date up to 90 days from the day you pause. You can change your restart date afterwards, but that 90-day limit is measured from the original pause, not from each change.

You can pause at any point up to the delivery lock. If your plan is already ending, there will be nothing left to bank.

While your plan is paused, your dashboard, your results, and Ask Joud stay available.

Cancelling

You can cancel your plan for a full refund up to the end of the second day after your first delivery. Your first delivery day counts as day one, so the window covers that day and the two days after it. This is a satisfaction window: try the food, and tell us quickly if it is not for you.

To cancel, use the app or email help@joudhealth.com. You will be refunded in full. Our team handles the refund and will contact you within one business day.

After that window closes, a plan cannot be cancelled — but you can pause it instead and keep every day you have paid for, as described above.

Our right to cancel

We may cancel an order at any time, though this is unlikely outside exceptional circumstances. We will email you and refund anything you have paid for and not received.

Allergens and how we prepare your meals

Our meals are prepared in a kitchen that handles major allergens, including milk, eggs, fish, shellfish, molluscs, tree nuts, peanuts, sesame, wheat and gluten, soy, mustard, celery, sulphites, and lupin.

We take reasonable care to avoid cross-contact, but we cannot guarantee that any meal is free from any allergen, and we do not operate an allergen-free kitchen.

Because of this, our meals are not suitable for anyone with a severe or anaphylactic allergy.

We exclude meals based only on what you tell us. We do not independently verify your declarations. You are responsible for declaring your allergies and dietary requirements accurately, and for keeping them up to date in the app.

Always check the ingredient and allergen information in the app and on the packaging before you eat a meal. Recipes and suppliers change. We will always tell you before your next delivery about any change to the allergens in a meal you subscribe to.

If you think a meal contains something you declared, stop eating it, keep the packaging, and contact us at help@joudhealth.com. If you have a reaction, seek medical help first.

Delivery

We deliver within our published service area in Kuwait, in the delivery windows shown in the app. Windows are estimates, not guarantees.

Your meals become your responsibility when they are delivered to the address on your account — including when they are left in a safe place you have agreed, or handed to building security, reception, or anyone at the address who accepts them.

Meals are delivered chilled and must be refrigerated promptly. Perishable food left out deteriorates quickly. We are not responsible for spoilage once your meals have been delivered, including where a delivery you were not there to receive was left in an agreed safe place.

You are responsible for the delivery address, access instructions, and phone number on your account. We are not responsible for failed or misdelivered orders caused by information that is wrong or out of date, and no refund is due for them.

If we cannot deliver because nobody is available and no safe place has been agreed, we may leave the order at the address or return it. Where a delivery fails for a reason attributable to you, the meal counts as delivered and no refund is due. Redelivery may be chargeable.

Storage and use

Follow the storage and use instructions on the packaging, including the use-by date. Ingredient, allergen, and nutrition information is shown in the app before you order and on the packaging.

Except where the law does not allow us to, we are not responsible for any harm caused by not following those instructions.

If something is wrong with your order

Tell us the same day. Because meals are perishable and cannot be checked later, please report a missing, incomplete, damaged, or unsatisfactory delivery within four hours of the scheduled delivery time, and in any event on the day of delivery, through the app or at help@joudhealth.com, with photos where you can.

If a meal is missing, incomplete, damaged, or not of satisfactory quality and you tell us in time, you can choose a replacement meal, an account credit, or a refund for that meal.

This does not limit any statutory right you have under Kuwaiti consumer protection law, including any right that applies for longer than this reporting window.

Meals you have received

For food safety reasons, delivered meals cannot be returned or exchanged, and we cannot refund meals that have been delivered and accepted, whether or not you have eaten them. This does not affect the rights above where something is wrong with the order, or your statutory rights.

Discretionary refunds

Outside the cancellation window, in exceptional circumstances we may, at our discretion, refund some or all of what you have paid, or add credit to your account — for example if your doctor advises you to stop, or you become medically unable to continue. Email help@joudhealth.com with the details and we will consider it.

Changes to meals

We are always improving our meals. We may change a recipe, its ingredients, portion size, or packaging. We will tell you in advance of any change that materially affects a meal you subscribe to, and always before your next delivery if the allergens change. We will not tell you about minor changes.

Personal use only

Meals are sold for your personal use. You may not resell them.

Payment

We accept Visa, Mastercard and KNET, in Kuwaiti dinars (KWD). Prices include any taxes or fees that apply.

You agree to give accurate payment information that is yours or that you are authorised to use. We may cancel your subscription if we believe the information you have given us is inaccurate, fraudulent, or incomplete. You can update it in your account.

Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) anything else that cannot be excluded under Kuwaiti law, including your rights as a consumer.

Otherwise, to the fullest extent the law allows, our liability is limited to losses that were reasonably foreseeable at the time you ordered, capped at the price paid for the affected order. We are not responsible for business losses.

Other things

Complaints

Email help@joudhealth.com with the details. We aim to acknowledge within 48 hours and to give you a written outcome after reviewing your order history and the circumstances. If you think we have not handled it fairly, ask us to review it again.

Changing these Terms

The version on our website when you subscribe applies to that subscription. We may amend these Terms and will post changes here with the date they were last updated.

Circumstances beyond our control

We are not responsible for failing to perform where that is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If it causes a substantial delay, contact us to cancel and get a refund for what you have paid for and not received.

Transferring this agreement

You may not transfer your rights or obligations without our written consent. We may transfer ours.

Disputes

These Terms, and any dispute arising out of them, are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait, and the courts of Kuwait have jurisdiction. Nothing here removes any protection given to you by Kuwaiti consumer protection law, or your right to complain to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Language

These Terms are published in English. Where we publish an Arabic version and there is any conflict between them, the Arabic version applies.
