Joud Health
App, Blood Test and Membership · Effective 12 August 2026
This is an archived copy. It shows the Terms of Service exactly as published on 12 August 2026. It is not the current version. View the current Terms of Service.
These are the Terms on which we provide the Joud Health app and at-home blood tests in Kuwait. They set out what you can expect from us, and what we expect from you.
We explain how we use your personal information in our Privacy Policy.
Meals are sold under separate terms. See our Meal Terms of Sale and Subscription.
Important: neither our app nor our blood test gives medical advice. They are provided for general health and wellness purposes only. You should always talk to your doctor or another healthcare professional about any health problem you may have. Please read the Warnings section before you sign up.
To use the Joud Health app you must:
We may accept or reject any application, including because you do not meet these criteria.
Because our service involves health data, we take age seriously. If we find that an account holder is under 18, or that age was misstated when the account was created, we may suspend or close the account immediately, cancel any booked test or delivery, and handle the data as described in our Privacy Policy. Charges properly incurred before closure remain payable.
Membership is a monthly subscription. When you sign up you choose your plan, and the price is the one shown when you buy.
If we accept your order we will send you a confirmation email, and a contract exists between us on these Terms.
You can manage your membership in your Joud Health account.
Membership is the only part of Joud Health that renews automatically. Meal plans are a separate, one-off purchase for the term you buy and never renew on their own — see our Meal Terms.
Your membership renews automatically each month until you cancel it. We will email you a reminder at least three days before each renewal charge, telling you the amount and the date.
Where your plan includes a minimum term — for example a three-month plan — that minimum is shown to you before you pay, and you can cancel any time after it ends.
Membership requires a payment card we can charge again each month. KNET cannot be saved for future payments, so it can be used for one-off purchases but not for membership renewals.
You can turn off automatic renewal at any time in your account, before your current period ends. Open your account, choose Manage, then Cancel auto-renewal, and follow the steps to confirmation. You can also email help@joudhealth.com.
Cancelling stops future payments and ends your membership at the end of the period you have already paid for. It does not refund payments already made, except as set out below.
Membership fees are not refundable once a membership period has started, except where these Terms say otherwise or where Kuwaiti law requires it.
If you cancel before your blood sample has been collected, we will refund the test fee in full.
Discretionary refunds. In exceptional circumstances we may, at our discretion, refund some or all of what you have paid, or extend your membership — for example if your doctor advises you not to take part, or you develop a condition that makes you permanently or temporarily ineligible. Email help@joudhealth.com with the details and we will consider it.
If we end your membership for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund you pro rata for the unused part of your membership period.
You will lose access to the app and to your test results at the end of your current membership period.
You can ask us for a copy of your health records at any time — before or after your membership ends. Email help@joudhealth.com and we will send you a machine-readable export within 30 days. We keep your health records for the period explained in our Privacy Policy.
We may change the membership price. We will tell you at least 30 days before a change applies to you. The new price takes effect at your next renewal after that notice. If you do not want to continue, you can turn off automatic renewal before it takes effect.
Pausing applies to your meal deliveries, not to your membership. If you need a break from deliveries, you can pause your meal plan and keep the days you have paid for — see our Meal Terms.
We are always developing the app, so we may add or remove features at any time.
Blood tests are available in Kuwait and are part of membership. You need an active membership to book a test and to receive your results.
In addition to the membership criteria, you should not book a test if you have a bleeding disorder, are taking anticoagulant medication, or have any other condition that makes blood collection unsafe, unless your doctor has confirmed it is appropriate. Tell us about any such condition before your appointment.
We coordinate your test. We do not perform it. A licensed phlebotomist collects your sample at your home, and a licensed laboratory analyses it. These partners are independent professionals, not our staff. They are responsible for the collection procedure, the handling of your sample, and the accuracy of the results, under their own professional and licensing obligations.
We will send your results to the app once the laboratory has provided them. Timings are estimates and can be affected by laboratory capacity and sample quality.
To get a usable result you must:
You can reschedule free of charge with at least 24 hours' notice.
If you miss an appointment or cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, we may charge a fee as shown in the app, or treat the appointment as used.
If your sample has to be taken again because you did not follow the preparation instructions — for example, you did not fast — you pay for the retest. If a retest is needed because of a handling or laboratory problem, or anything that is our fault, it is free.
Your results are a set of biomarker readings and a JOUD Score, shown in the app, combined with what you have told us about yourself.
They are there to help you make nutrition and lifestyle choices. You can follow our suggestions as much or as little as you like. Nothing in your results is medical advice or a diagnosis of any condition, and results do not identify allergies or intolerances.
Results vary with sample timing, hydration, recent illness, exercise, and medication. A reading outside a common reference range is not a diagnosis, and a reading inside one is not an assurance that you are healthy. Share your results with a doctor.
We may flag readings that look unusual. We are not obliged to, and you should not rely on us to identify a health problem.
Samples are processed by the laboratory and cannot be returned to you.
You need an account to use the app. Only you may use it, and you must not share your password unless illness or disability means someone needs to access the account for you.
You are responsible for everything done through your account, and for keeping the email address on it working. We are entitled to treat any email we successfully send to that address as received by you.
Tell us straight away at help@joudhealth.com if you think someone else has accessed your account.
We accept Visa, Mastercard and KNET. All prices are in Kuwaiti dinars (KWD) and include any taxes or fees that apply.
Payment is handled by our payment provider. Their terms apply to the payment itself in addition to ours. We are not responsible for errors made by the payment provider.
You must give accurate payment information and keep it up to date. If a payment fails we may retry it, and may suspend deliveries and paid features until it succeeds. We will tell you before we suspend anything.
You can see your orders and payments in your account.
Ask Joud is an AI assistant in the app. Responses are generated automatically and do not come from a person.
Ask Joud uses generative AI. AI can produce answers that are wrong, incomplete, or out of date. It may misunderstand your question or have gaps in what it knows. Check anything important before you act on it.
Ask Joud does not:
Please do not ask Ask Joud medical questions — it cannot help. If you have a concern about your health, speak to your doctor. Never use Ask Joud in an emergency.
Ask Joud is optional. Everything else in the app works without it. How we handle the information you send it is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Please be aware of the risks of using a service like ours:
Joud Health is a nutrition and wellness service, not a medical provider. We do not provide medical services or give medical advice. Nothing in your results, your JOUD Score, your meal plan, or anything Ask Joud tells you is medical advice or a diagnosis, and none of it is a substitute for talking to a doctor.
There is no doctor–patient relationship between you and Joud Health.
If you are being treated for an illness, are pregnant or breastfeeding, have any food allergy, take prescription medication, or are following a diet prescribed for a medical condition, talk to your doctor before using Joud Health. If anything you get from us conflicts with what your doctor tells you, follow your doctor.
If you think you may have a medical emergency, contact emergency services immediately.
Our support team can help you use the service and complete your test. They cannot provide medical or health advice, diagnose anything, or recommend treatment. Nothing in any conversation with our team creates a doctor–patient relationship.
We show ingredient, allergen, and nutrition information in the app and on meal packaging. Some of this comes from suppliers and sources outside our control, and recipes change. We cannot guarantee that every piece of nutrition information is accurate, and you should treat it with sensible caution. Allergen handling is covered in our Meal Terms.
You may use the app for your personal use only. You must not:
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. Breaking these Terms ends that licence immediately, and we may block your access.
The app does not have public posts, comments, reviews, or profiles. Nothing you enter is visible to other members.
If you send us feedback, suggestions, or ideas, you agree we can use them freely, without payment or credit to you. To the fullest extent the law allows, you waive any moral rights in what you send us.
We expect our staff to be polite and respectful to you, and we expect the same in return. If you harass, abuse, or threaten our staff, delivery team, or partners, we may restrict contact, stop supporting you, close your account, and where appropriate involve the authorities.
Where you download our app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, the following also applies. Your licence is limited to using the app on a device running iOS or Android in line with that store's usage rules. We, not the store, are responsible for the app and for any support. If the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may tell the store, which may refund the purchase price (if any) and will have no other warranty obligation. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a United States government embargo and are not on any United States government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must comply with the store's own terms. The stores are third-party beneficiaries of this section and may enforce it against you.
Our name, logo, app, designs, text, images, the JOUD Score methodology, and everything else in our service belong to us or our licensors. These Terms give you no right to use them beyond using the app as intended. Do not remove or alter any of our notices.
We may end your membership without notice if:
We may also end your membership at any time by giving you at least 30 days' notice.
If we end your membership for any reason that is not your fault, we will refund you pro rata for the unused part of your membership period.
Ending your membership ends your access to the app and your results at the end of the period you have paid for. It does not affect anything either of us owed before it ended, or the parts of these Terms that are meant to survive — including our limits of liability, the warnings above, and our data obligations.
Closing your account does not immediately delete your health records — see the Privacy Policy for how long we keep them and how to request deletion or an export.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for: (a) death or personal injury caused by our negligence; (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or (c) anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of Kuwait, including your rights as a consumer.
We are responsible for losses you suffer that are directly caused by us breaking these Terms.
Otherwise, and to the fullest extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to losses that were reasonably foreseeable when you bought, capped at the amount you paid for the membership period or test the claim relates to. We are not responsible for business losses.
We are not responsible for losses to the extent they are caused by:
We may change these Terms by publishing new ones at least 30 days before they take effect. Changes that do not negatively affect your existing use apply after 30 days. Any other change applies from your next renewal — so you can end your membership if you do not want to continue.
Where these Terms require you to contact us, email help@joudhealth.com, or help@joudhealth.com for anything about your data. We contact you by email at the address on your account. We do not accept notices by post.
We are not responsible for failing to perform our obligations where that is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If this causes a substantial delay, contact us to cancel and receive a refund for anything you have paid for and not received.
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer ours — for example if our business is restructured or acquired — and we will tell you before we do.
If we do not enforce a right on one occasion, that does not stop us enforcing it later.
If any part is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
If something goes wrong, email help@joudhealth.com with the details. We aim to acknowledge within 48 hours and to give you a written outcome after reviewing the circumstances.
These Terms, and any dispute arising out of them, are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait, and the courts of Kuwait have jurisdiction. Nothing here removes any protection given to you by Kuwaiti consumer protection law, or your right to complain to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
These Terms are published in English. Where we publish an Arabic version and there is any conflict between them, the Arabic version applies.
